Founded in 2014, SDF has worked diligently to create opportunities for individuals and families facing economic and social challenges. We are officially registered in The Gambia and USA. Also we operate in the UK. Our commitment to serve and empower our community is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Objectives

Promote understanding, unity and collaboration among Sikankos, sympathisers/supporters and donors.

Foster partnerships with other villages, organisations, and the government.

Support sustainable development programmes in healthcare, education, environmental protection, and entrepreneurship, e.g. horticulture.

Work collaboratively to enhance the development of skills by creating mentorship, scholarship, as well as entrepreneurship opportunities.

Rooted in Community Development, the Sika Development Fund (SDF) was founded in 2014 to address the pressing needs of Sika Village. Established on the principles of charity and inclusivity, SDF has grown into a global initiative focused on education, healthcare, environmental protection, and socio-economic empowerment
